How is contraception a “health” issue, it does nothing to prevent STDs?

Question by : How is contraception a “health” issue, it does nothing to prevent STDs?
It in fact likely promotes them… so again how it a “health” issue? Condoms are readily available and cheap… no one is stopping anyone from getting those… and that actually prevents the diseases.
I don’t care if anyone takes them or not… I’m just asking this specific question.

It prevents weight gain in women.
